Selected contamination.
Grease, oils, adhesives, carbon, organic buildup, release agents, ink, some coatings, and restoration contamination may respond. Bond strength, substrate, thickness, geometry, access, settings, and desired finish control the result.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
No lost metal. No blind corners. No universal guarantee.
Dry ice does not rebuild metal, cure corrosion, guarantee coating removal, create every required coating profile, eliminate every disassembly step, or make an unknown surface risk-free.
CO₂ SAFETY
Invisible gas. Visible controls.
Carbon dioxide is colorless and odorless. OSHA lists a 5,000 ppm eight-hour permissible exposure limit. NIOSH lists a 5,000 ppm time-weighted recommended limit, a 30,000 ppm short-term limit, and 40,000 ppm as immediately dangerous to life or health.
Ventilation, monitoring, access control, cold-contact protection, eye protection, hearing protection, and facility procedures must match the environment. Tank entry and confined spaces require a formal program—not an online checkbox.
